On September 21, the world paused to commemorate the International Day of Peace — a reminder that, in times of division and uncertainty, peace remains our shared responsibility. As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting harmony and understanding, the MWL-UK team, including Ms. Fauzia Saeed and Mr. Fathi Labiedi, participated in the Groundswell Project alongside individuals from diverse faith and cultural backgrounds.
The event provided a meaningful space for reflection, dialogue, and solidarity. Coming together with people of different traditions and perspectives was a powerful reminder that peace begins with unity, and that healing in our communities and our world requires collaboration and mutual respect.
For MWL-UK, this gathering was not just a symbolic gesture but part of a broader mission:
- Fostering dialogue between communities.
- Building bridges of understanding across faiths and cultures.
- Encouraging unity and cooperation in the face of global challenges.

At a time when our country and the wider world are yearning for healing, MWL-UK remains steadfast in its dedication to nurturing thoughtful conversations, strengthening community bonds, and working together for a more peaceful and compassionate future.
Peace is not an abstract idea — it is built through everyday actions of empathy, kindness, and respect. The Groundswell Project reminded us all that by standing together, we can make peace a lived reality for generations to come.
