OUR SERVICES

The MWLLO is an UK charitable incorporated organisation (CIO). It works under the auspices of its parent organisation the Muslim World League in Makkah al-Mukarramah. Its office is at the 3rd floor of a 4-storey building located at the prime location in central London.

The mosque is on the first floor while ladies’ prayer room is on the ground floor. The mosque is open for the five prayers (Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha).

By virtue of its being located in central London and being surrounded by universities, colleges, hospitals and several offices where a large number of Muslims study or work, the MWLLO provides them with free Iftar meal during the month of Ramadan.

During Ramadan the MWLLO also provides Tarawih prayer facilities. This additional prayer, which is performed immediately after Isha prayer, is lead by two Hafizs of the Qur’an.

Eid prayers are also performed on both occasions. MWLLO has just one Eid prayer (Jammah) on each Eid occasion.

Five times prayer

The MWLLO works in the UK under the auspices of its parent organisation the Muslim World League in Makkah al-Mukarramah. Its office is at the 3rd floor of a 4-storey building located at the prime location in central London and is easily accessible.

The mosque is on the first floor while ladies’ prayer room is on the ground floor. The mosque is open for the five prayers (Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha).

On Fridays all floors are open to accommodate as many people as possible. It is estimated approximately 800 people attend the Friday congregation every week.

By virtue of its being located in central London and being surrounded by universities, colleges, hospitals and several offices where a large number of Muslims study or work, the MWLLO provides them with free Iftar meal during the month of Ramadan. Dates are provided to break the fast with the start of Maghrib Adhan, followed by one course meal with juice after salah.

During Ramadan the MWLLO also provides Tarawih prayer facilities. This additional prayer, which is performed immediately after Isha prayer, is lead by two Hafizs of the Qur’an.

Eid prayers are also performed on both occasions. MWLLO has just one Eid prayer on each Eid occasion.

During weekends free facilities are provided to other organisations to hold their programmes.

MWLLO maintains good relationships with UK-based prominent Muslim organisations.

Friday Prayer

Muslim World League London Office holds only one Friday prayer. The Friday prayer starts with Khutba which take roughly 25 minutes fallowed by the prayer.

  • Winter time (End of October to End of March): Friday Khutba starts at 1.00pm.
  • Summer time (End fo March to end of October): Friday Khutba starts at 1.15pm.

Note: In pursuance of health and safety regulations and the requirements of Fire Brigade Dept, the main door is closed when all floors of the building are full.

The Imams or khatibs of the Friday prayer are:

  • First Friday : Imam Shahnawaz Haque
  • Second Friday : Sheikh. Suhayb Hassan
  • Third Friday : Sheikh. Mohammed Zarzor
  • Fourth Friday : Sheikh. Haytham Tamim
A Permanent Exhibition

Muslim World League London office (MWLLO) has established a permanent exhibition at third and fourth floors of its premises which is open for public. The exhibition materials mainly comprise of posters on different Islamic themes, particularly those under the title ‘Discover Islam’.

Any group of students or civil servants or the general public interested in visiting the exhibition to enhance their knowledge about Islamic faith and its fundamentals is warmly welcomed. However, booking an appointment will help the MWLLO to engage one of its staff members for conducting the guided tour, explaining the contents and answering the queries.

Religious Education, Arabic Language and cultural enrichment school trips

In recognition to the importance of visits to places of worship, to help pupils to experience and relate to the knowledge and values they are taught in the school to the real world and real people of the wider community. This allows pupils the opportunity to enrich their RE subject, and learn the significance role that places of worship play to educate the expression of faith and values and respect for diversity of faiths.

Muslim World league London office is pleased to welcome students and teachers at its community center and mosque. MWLLO located at the heart of London at 46 Goodge Street.  With an excellent transportation network, Goodge Street station, Warren Street station and Tottenham Court Road station are all within short walking distances and if you are using the TFL buses, there are a number of buses that stop close to our building. Our multi-floor building offers females prayer room and a separate male’s prayer room. Two conference halls and administration with operational offices. 

MWLLO showcases a permanent exhibition throughout the building displaying posters on various Islamic topics, including basic beliefs, prophets’ information including Moses, Jesus and Mohamad (peace be upon them). In addition, the visitors can experience in action the call for prayers and watch prayers performed in congregation. 

MWLLO can also facilitate a classroom with projector and seating area for students and visitors where teachers can engage students with further learning and reflection on the visit. For schools teaching Arabic language this can also be a great opportunity for introducing Arabic or as part of cultural enrichment or cross-curricular activities.

Our Centre is open for general public, schools, college and university visits. Educational visits can be arranged during weekdays excluding Fridays and the Weekends.

Quran Distribution

MWLLO has large volume of the Qur’an and the meaning of the Qur’an in different languages for distribution.

To request a free copy of the Qur’an or its meaning in your preferred language, please fill in the form available at the office and give to the staff or email us.

The Qur’an copies must be collected in person as the MWLLO doesn’t send them by post.

Is the Mosque open every day?

Yes, the mosque is open everyday during the five prayer times

What is the office hour?

Office hour is from 10 am to 5pm during the weekdays only.

How many Jummah Prayers do you have?

We have only one Jummah prayer and it is during 1 to 2 pm. Please see the home page

Do you have Women prayer room?

Yes, we have women prayer room in the ground floor near the entrance. We also have separte women toilet and wudo room in the basement.

Do you have Arabic and Quran classes?

Yes, the mosque have various programs all around the week. 

We have speacial Arabic and Quran teaching class for children in the weekend.
