As the sun began to set over Goodge Street on Wednesday, February 25th, the Muslim World League London Office (MWLLO) transformed into a vibrant hub of unity and reflection. Our Annual Ramadan Interfaith Iftar brought together neighbours, friends, and leaders from across London to celebrate the spirit of this sacred month.

A Room Filled with Unity
The evening was a beautiful testament to the diversity of our borough. We were honoured to welcome a wide array of guests, including:
- The Leader of Camden Council
- The Deputy Mayor of Camden
- Community members and leaders from all faiths
Seeing such a diverse group gather under one roof reminds us that, while we may have different backgrounds, our shared values of compassion and community truly define us.

An Evening of Reflection and Dialogue
The program was designed to be more than just a meal; it was an opportunity for deep connection.
- Inspirational Reflections: Guests arrived at 4:15 PM and were treated to a powerful talk centred on the spiritual significance of fasting and the importance of charity.
- Open Dialogue: Our Q&A session enabled an honest and warm exchange of ideas, fostering a deeper understanding of the Islamic faith and the role of the Mosque in Camden.
- The Moment of Iftar: At exactly 5:37 PM, the room fell into a respectful silence as we broke our fast together, followed by the Maghrib prayer, which many of our guests stayed to observe.

More Than Just a Meal
The night concluded with a spread of traditional dishes and “warm company,” providing the perfect backdrop for new friendships to form. As our esteemed guests shared dinner, the conversation flowed from local issues to global hopes, proving that the simple act of sharing a meal can bridge any gap.
“Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection and acts of charity. It was a joy to see that spirit reflected in the eyes of everyone who joined us tonight.” — MWLLO Organizing Committee
