As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to an end, the Muslim World League London Office extends warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across the United Kingdom and around the world. We especially thank everyone who prayed with us at the MWLLO Mosque and shared in the spirit of worship, reflection and community throughout this sacred month.
This Ramadan was once again a time of deep devotion and vibrant community life. The mosque completed the full recitation of the Holy Qur’an during the Taraweeh prayers, alongside nightly Qiyam al Layl. On every odd night, special lectures were delivered, while short reminders and reflections were held after the Dhuhr and Asr prayers in both Arabic and English, helping worshippers benefit spiritually and intellectually throughout the month.
Community gatherings were also an important part of the month. The mosque hosted daily iftar for worshippers, as well as special interfaith iftar gatherings and iftar with asylum seekers, reflecting our commitment to hospitality, service, and engagement with the wider community.
MWLLO also continued an initiative it has been running for several years by providing live translation of the Taraweeh prayers for the deaf community in partnership with Deaf Muslim UK. This allowed members of the deaf Muslim community to follow the recitation and engage with the prayers in a meaningful way.
This year the mosque also received significant attention online. A number of visitors shared their Ramadan experience at MWLLO on social media, and several videos went viral, helping many people across the UK and beyond discover the mosque and its activities.
Above all, we extend our sincere thanks to the many volunteers who gave their time and energy to make these programmes possible. We are also grateful to all worshippers and supporters whose presence, encouragement and generous donations helped sustain the work of the mosque throughout Ramadan.
May Allah accept the fasting, prayers, and charity of everyone who observed this blessed month. Eid Mubarak to you and your families.
